Community Service Club

The Community Service Club at KVRRDCW is dedicated to fostering social responsibility and civic engagement among students. It provides a platform for students to contribute meaningfully to society through volunteer work, awareness drives, and outreach programs.

The club organizes activities such as blood donation camps, environmental clean-up drives, visits to orphanages and old-age homes, health awareness programs, and educational support for underprivileged communities.

By participating in these initiatives, students develop empathy, leadership, and a strong sense of social commitment, aligning personal growth with community well-being.

  1. Spreading Smiles, Sharing Care – A Heartwarming Visit to an Old Age Home
    On 04 March 2026 (Wednesday), the Community Service Club visited Sri Vathsalya Valli Foundation as part of its social outreach initiative. The visit reflected the institution’s core value of service to humanity by promoting compassion, empathy, and social responsibility among students.
    During the visit, students interacted warmly with the elderly residents, spent quality time with them, and distributed fruits as a small token of love and care. The objective of the program was to instill respect for senior citizens, develop a sense of responsibility, and strengthen intergenerational bonds.
    The experience was heart-touching and meaningful for the students, while the residents expressed happiness and appreciation for their thoughtful gesture.
  2. Be Ready to Respond: First Aid Awareness Program
    On 05 February 2026 (Thursday), the Community Service Club organized a First Aid Awareness Program to educate students on basic first aid techniques and emergency response. The session focused on handling common injuries such as cuts, burns, fractures, bleeding, and fainting until professional medical help arrives. Club volunteers explained the importance of first aid, demonstrated key procedures, and highlighted essential do’s and don’ts during emergencies. Students participated actively and gained practical, life-saving knowledge, making the program informative, beneficial, and confidence-building.
  3. Giving the Gift of Learning: Community Service in Action
    The Community Service Club successfully organized a Books and Stationery Donation Drive from 05 to 07 January. Students, faculty members, and staff actively participated by donating textbooks, pens, pencils, drawing books, and other essential stationery items to support underprivileged students. Collection counters were set up on campus, where club volunteers efficiently managed the collection, sorting, and packing of donated materials for proper distribution. The initiative fostered values of compassion, generosity, and social responsibility, making it a meaningful and impactful community service activity. The Community Service Club extends its sincere gratitude to all contributors for the successful execution of the drive.
  4. Celebrate Smart, Stay Safe: Drug-Free & Cyber-Safe New Year
    On 31 December 2025 (Wednesday), the Media and Marketing Club, in collaboration with the Community and Service Club, conducted an awareness program titled "Drug-Free and Cyber-Safe New Year Celebration". The activity educated students and the community about increasing festive-season cyber threats such as fraudulent links, fake OTP requests, malicious APK files, and online scams, while also highlighting the harmful effects of drug addiction. The initiative emphasized responsible celebration, digital safety, and healthy lifestyle choices, effectively promoting a safe, alert, and drug-free New Year.
  5. Promoting Cyber Safety Through Awareness
    The Community Service Club, in collaboration with the Cyber Crime Cell of the South East Zone, Police Department, Government of Telangana, organized a Cyber Crime Awareness Program on 06 December 2025. The session was led by Sri K. Srikanth, Addl. DCP, along with officials from the South East Zone and I.S. Sadan Police Station, including Sri Sukhdev Singh (ACP), Sri Nagaraju (SHO), Sri Mallesham (Inspector), Venkatesh (SI), and Smt. Rumana (SI). The program aimed to create awareness among students and staff on cyber safety, highlighting issues such as fake accounts, hacking attempts, suspicious links, and fraudulent calls, and advising participants to secure their mobile devices, avoid unknown links, and report cyber threats through the Cyber Crime Cell or by dialing 1930.
  6. Students Extend a Helping Hand at Aster Prime Hospital
    On 31st October 2025, our students participated in a volunteer service program at Aster Prime Hospital as part of the college’s community service initiative. The students assisted hospital staff with administrative tasks such as filing documents and helping with patient registration, contributing to the smooth functioning of hospital operations. The activity not only enhanced the students’ communication, teamwork, and empathy skills but also fostered a strong sense of social responsibility and community engagement. Their enthusiasm and dedication created a positive and welcoming atmosphere, making the experience both meaningful and impactful for the students and the hospital alike.
  7. Spreading Awareness for a Drug-Free Tomorrow!
    The Community Service Club conducted an Anti-Drug Campaign on 23rd October 2025 to raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse among youth. As part of the initiative, students presented a powerful skit highlighting the dangers of drug use and its impact on individuals, families, and communities. The activity promoted a healthy, substance-free lifestyle and inspired participants to make responsible choices. The campaign successfully fostered awareness, empathy, and a strong commitment among students to work towards a drug-free society.
  8. Drive Smart, Stay Safe!
    On 17th September 2025, the Community Service Club organized a Traffic Rules Education Initiative to spread awareness about road safety among students and community members. The program highlighted the importance of traffic signs, signals, and safe driving practices, aiming to reduce accidents and encourage responsible behavior on the roads. Participants reported improved knowledge and greater confidence in following traffic rules, making the initiative a meaningful step toward building a safer and more responsible community.
  9. On 30 July 2025, the Community Service Club organised the Good touch and Bad touch awareness program at Government Primary School, Dhoolpet, Hyderabad. This initiative aimed at empowering children and stakeholders with the knowledge and skills to recognize, prevent, and report abuse. By teaching the difference between appropriate and inappropriate physical contact, this program seeks to promote personal safety, healthy boundaries, and a culture respect.
  10. On 6th July 2025, the members of the Community Service Club actively volunteered at the Tholi Ekadashi celebrations held at Sri Jungal Vithoba Devasthanam, Gowliguda, Hyderabad. The event, organized by the Hyderabad Vysya Youth Association, witnessed a vibrant spiritual gathering, where the volunteers extended their support in managing the proceedings and assisting devotees, contributing to the smooth execution of the program.
